At the May 2007 CORD meeting in Chicago, Gloria Kuhn, D.O., Ph.D. was presented with a CORD Impact Award for her tireless efforts in leading Program Committee through the development of the Academic Assembly. As the Committee Chair and Board Liaison over the past 5 years, she has overseen the transition from the modest CORD Navigating the Academic Waters Conference became the multi-track Academic Assembly with nearly 400 participants. Dr. Kuhn’s dedication to emergency medicine faculty education has lead to innovative lecture topics, invitations to internationally recognized keynote speakers and collaborative sessions. Her very practical understanding of faculty development is apparent in her own lectures which are always thought provoking with sensible ideas to be taken immediately to improve bedside teaching or a faculty career. The CORD Board was proud to present this well-deserved award to Dr. Kuhn for her efforts. |
