| 8:30 am -12:30 pm | Breakout sessions: Learning about Assessment
There will be four one-hour breakout sessions, reviewing newer and/or less familiar types of assessment methodologies, such as Use of Models/Simulators; The Clinical Evaluation Exercise (CEX); the 360 Degree Evaluation Instrument; Resident Portfolios. Participants will rotate among four one hour sessions to learn about and discuss the advantages, disadvantages and application of a range of evaluation methods useful for resident assessment with which they may not be familiar |

| 1:30-3:00 pm | Breakout Sessions: Identifying Best Evaluation Methods for the Core Competencies
In this session, groups for each of the six core competencies will meet to discuss their suggestions for the best evaluation methods for each of the core competencies |

In this session, group leaders will report their recommendations for best evaluation methods for each of the core competencies, and the entire group will discuss issues such as integration of these methods for assessment across the competencies |
