General Information

Registration
Attendees are strongly urged to pre-register for the conference. Pre-registration ensures shorter registration lines and assists the staff in preparing name badges. Attendees may register via the online form on the CORD web site. Early registration fees are in effect until January 28th, 2008.

The Annual Academic Assembly will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans Louisiana. The hotel is located at 500 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130. Make your reservations by calling the Hotel directly, 1-800-253-6156, by January 28, 2008. Be sure to mention the conference or CORD in order to receive the discounted rate. Reservations made after 5:00 pm local time at the Hotel on the cut-off date will be accepted at the Hotel’s prevailing rate based on availability.

Assembly Speakers
All speakers at the 2008 Annual Academic Assembly have been independently selected by the Planning Committees. All speakers are required to disclose any real or apparent conflict of interest they may have as related to the content of their presentations(s). The existence of commercial or financial interests of speakers related to the subject matter of their presentation should no be construed as implying bias or decreasing the value of their presentations(s). However, disclosure should provide information for participants to form their own judgments.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, and the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors. Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, designates this educational activity for a maximum of 19 hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.  Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spend in the educational activity. 

Emergency Medicine Association of Residency Coordinators (EMARC)

EMARC will offer a wide variety of educational sessions geared toward enhancing the productivity of Emergency Medicine Coordinators, including a lecture from Grace Williams, PHR, on Bridging the Communications Gap.
