CORD ORR Nomination
The Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors is one of the eligible members of the AAMC’s Council of Faculty and Academic Societies invited to appoint two residents to serve in the Organization of Resident Representatives (ORR) as part of our member benefit. The ORR provides a resident voice on policy matters before the association and offers leadership and professional development for those interested in academic medicine. Please note, appointed residents are asked to bring the specialty perspective of fellow resident trainees to the deliberations of the ORR and are not explicitly expected to represent policy positions of the appointing society.
All travel and meeting related expenses associated with conference attendance at Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC Annual Meeting, and the spring professional development conference are fully funded by the AAMC, so that neither CORD, nor the resident's program will incur these costs.
CORD's current ORR appointees are:
Dennis Hsieh, MD - Harbor UCLA Medical Center - 2015 - 2017
Ronnie Ren, MD - University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio - 2016 - 2018
