Would you like to be a part of our Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine leadership team? CORD members with a strong interest in leading our organization and developing the next generation of emergency medicine educators are encouraged to submit their names for Board Slate consideration by the Nominating Committee. Be sure to review the prerequisites to join the CORD Board, and you may discover that it's the perfect fit!

The deadline for nomination submissions is December 15,2023, at 5:00 PM EST. Late submissions cannot be moved forward.

Current openings:

• President-Elect - Three-year commitment with one position open

• Secretary/Treasurer - One-year commitment with one position open

• Member-at-Large - Two-year commitment with three positions open

• Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Member - Two-year commitment with one position open

• Resident Member-at-Large - One-year commitment with one position open. Must be a current PGY2, or above, resident at the time of the election.

If elected to the Board, all Board members are expected to be in New Orleans, LA in advance of the 2024 Academic Assembly to attend CORD Board Meeting scheduled for the full day on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

The CORD Governance Committee will prepare a slate of candidates from the applications received by the deadline. Voting will be online by electronic ballot from February 1-15, 2024. One vote per paid/active program. CORD will announce the results of the election Monday February 19, 2024. Be sure to plan any travel/schedule requisition advance.
