Marc Borenstein, MD

MKEstesReasons for wanting to join the CORD Board of Directors & Opinions and Priorities for the Board:I believe some of the greatest challenges we face as EM educators include the adverse impact of ED overcrowding and staffing shortages on the ability to provide excellence in teaching, supervision and patient care; the negative effect of moral injury; and the continued unraveling of the societal safety net provided by emergency departments and emergency physicians. If elected as an at-large member of the CORD Board, I can be counted on to serve and represent the CORD membership with enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work. One area where I will use my time is to bring a distinctive emphasis on supporting and promoting research, education, and programs that increase the career satisfaction and longevity of emergency physician teachers, faculty, and program leadership as well as enhance their well-being and prevent burnout.
