What Dr. Lin will bring to the CORD Board of Directors:
I am in the medical education track at University of Michigan. The track has monthly meetings that include journal club, educational topic teaching, and discussion. Additionally, we have monthly teaching shifts in which we are paired medical students to hone and practice teaching skills. Outside of the track, I am involved in multiple education related committees, including didactic design and planning and curriculum committee. I have organized radiology based lectures for the past two years, and also have helped re-vamp the curriculum to a block based design with specialty specific days. During this transitional time in EM education, our curriculum committee is working to understand potential ACGME requirements and implications for programs with the goal of developing competent well-rounded physicians. Lastly, I have been involved in medical student didactics through ACLS simulations and residency prep course through the resident forum.
