Intended to recognize an emergency medicine resident who has demonstrated great potential as a future academic faculty member. Qualities that will be evaluated include academic productivity, commitment to teaching, and service to the program. Each emergency medicine program director may nominate one of their senior residents for this award. Program directors must submit the nominee's curriculum vita and provide specific information regarding peer-reviewed publications and the resident's role in the publications, presentations at state or national meetings, evaluations of teaching ability by faculty, junior residents or medical students, and other objective evidence of outstanding contributions to the educational program. A copy of a publication considered to be the resident's best work should also be included.
