Keel Coleman

Keel Coleman, DO, MBA

Keel E. Coleman is an Associate Professor at the Virginia Tech/Carilion School of Medicine. He is the Associate Designated Institutional Officer for Carilion Medical Center. He is the former Program Director of the OMNEE/Carilion Emergency Medicine Residency program.

Dr. Coleman received his undergraduate training at the University of Tennessee. Following careers in EMS and Nursing he attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency in Emergency Medicine was completed at the Medical College of Virginia Virginia Commonwealth University. His Masters of Business Administration is from the Physician Executive program at the Haslam College of Business University of Tennessee.

Dr. Coleman’s interests involve entrepreneurship, finance in austere environments, technologic adjuncts to diagnosis and physician practice variation. In the academic world he is passionate about developing new models for clinical education and increasing access to care.


Damon KuehlDamon Kuehl, MD

Damon is Vice-Chair of Emergency Medicine at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He serves as the PD for the VTC EM residency program and is a researcher in practice variation and decision making.

He attended the University of Minnesota for Medical School and completed his Emergency Training at Stanford University. He completed a Health Research Fellowship in Health Policy and Economics at OHSU.

Dr. Kuehl has interests in graduate medical education as a financial asset and better quantifying the known and hidden values UME and GME brings to an institution. As a side gig, he also oversees the procurement of department and institution technology and devices for resuscitation.


Sundeep Bhat

Sundeep Bhat, MD

Sundeep is a senior emergency physician and Assistant Chief in the Emergency Department of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor (Affiliated) in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. In his administrative roles, he has experience with ED and hospital operations, quality and process improvement, and curriculum development for resident rotators and emerging leaders. When he has some downtime, he enjoys international travel, live concerts, and attending Stanford sporting events.


Dan Martin

Daniel R. Martin, MD, MBA

Daniel R. Martin, MD, MBA is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is the Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program (2012 to present) and the Vice-Chair of Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Martin served as the Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Categorical Residency Program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from 1990 to 2010.

Dr. Martin received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University and Indiana University School of Medicine.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and his Emergency Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin serving as Chief Resident during his final year.  He recently received an Executive MBA from the Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University. His clinical and education interests include the treatment of infectious diseases, cognitive errors, leadership and patient education and experience.     

Dr. Martin is an active member of national organizations such as the American Medical Association, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) where he is an Ohio ACEP Counselor and a member of the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors.  He has lectured as a Visiting Professor both regionally and nationally on topics such as Respiratory Infections, Patient Experience, Cognitive Errors, Applying Leadership Literature to Medicine, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and a variety of clinical and business topics since completing his MBA.


Dusadee Sarangarm

Dusadee Sarangarm MD

Dr. Sarangarm is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is dual boarded in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Informatics. She has served as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for UNMH since 2011. In addition, she is the Assistant Clinical Director for Informatics for the Emergency Department, and the Assistant Program Director for the Residency. She has been a member of the Physician Advisory Group at UNMH and is also a graduate of the UNM Medical Leadership Academy. She currently serves as a Member-at-Large for the NBME. Dr. Sarangarm grew up in New Mexico. She graduated from NMSU in 2003 and UNM School of Medicine in 2008. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at UNM. She became faculty immediately after residency in September 2011. Her specific clinical interests include quality improvement, ease of practice, and clinical decision support systems. She comes from a long line of educators and enjoys teaching. Her current passions are creating systems and leading teams that improve ease of practice for providers, address systemic inefficiencies, standardize care and alleviate suffering for patients.


Ryan Bodkin

Ryan Bodkin MD, MBA

Ryan is an Emergency Medicine Physician and educator. He attended Clarkson University and graduated with a BS in Biology with Highest Distinction in 2003. He received his MBA from Clarkson University, also, and graduated in 2004, then went on to receive his MD from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2008. Dr. Bodkin completed his residency at the University of Rochester in 2011 and was Chief Resident from 2010-2011. He has been Core Faculty at the University of Rochester since 2011. Dr. Bodkin’s academic interests include medical education, mentorship, business in medicine, and Emergency Medicine pharmacology. He is currently the Residency Director in Emergency Medicine Department at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
