As part of Academic Assembly 2027, CORD will host an In Memoriam recognition to honor colleagues in emergency medicine who have passed away in the past year. This is an opportunity for our community to reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives and contributions of those who dedicated themselves to advancing our specialty.
Eligibility:
- Individuals who were members of CORD or who made meaningful contributions to emergency medicine education.
- Individuals who passed away between January 2026 and December 2026.
Submission Requirements:
- Full name of the deceased (as it should appear in the recognition).
- Dates of birth and passing (if available).
- Affiliation(s) (institution, program, or organization).
- A short statement (2–3 sentences) highlighting their impact on emergency medicine and/or their contributions to education.
- A photo (optional, but encouraged).
Deadline:
- Submissions must be received by Monday, January 4, 2027, at 11:59 PM CT to be included in the Academic Assembly 2027 program.
Recognition:
- Names will be included in the In Memoriam section presented during Academic Assembly 2027.
- Submitted photos and tributes may be incorporated if space allows.
