A Message from CORD on the ACGME’s Updated Program Requirements
The decision to maintain flexibility in program length while adopting other revisions to the Emergency Medicine Program Requirements reflects the complexity of residency education and the diversity of training environments across our specialty. Emergency medicine has a long history of excellence across both three-year and four-year training programs, and we remain confident in the ability of programs to continue preparing outstanding emergency physicians under the updated standards. -
